Stock Picks For Thursday: DryShips And THQ

DryShips (DRYS) traded up $0.08 on Wednesday, as the stock traded 2.5x normal daily volume. The stock is trading in a range over the past 2 months, and seems to want to move higher. Wednesday’s high of $7.30 is resistance for the next upside move. If the stock can break through this level, we should see a strong move. DRYS can be a good trading stock, so keep it on your radar for the next few days.

THQ (THQI) - On the daily chart, recent bearish trend looks to be losing momentum. The stock continues under bearish pressure, unable to regain the $5.20 level; technically, 5 SMA is losing downside momentum while indicators are turning to the upside in the daily, suggesting some corrective movement ahead. My technical indicators are seriously mixed. THQI seems to be trading at a discount to its book value ( $4.91 per share ). It seems like investors fear first and then think about it later when an acquisition is rumored in the market. I bought some shares at 5.01 today.
