England And Wales House Prices Increase In September - Land Registry

(RTTNews) - House prices in England and Wales climbed 0.9% on a monthly basis in September, the Land Registry said on Wednesday. The average house price amounted to GBP 158,377 in September.

On an annual basis, house prices fell 5.6% in September. This is a significant improvement from the record decline of 16.3% in February.

Meanwhile, the monthly house prices for London and West Midlands increased by 1.3% and 0.4%, respectively in September. House prices for South East rose 1.1%.

In July, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased 9% year-on-year to 57,579 from 52,628 a year ago.
