India Stock Market: Sensex Up 127.62 Points On Friday

Sensex (^BSESN) rose 127.62 points or 0.7% to 17322.82.
Nifty (^NSEI) rose 33.30 points or 0.6% to 5142.15.
Mid Cap rose 1.1%. Small Cap rose 0.5%.
BSE 500 rose 0.7%. Sensex gainers: 15
Of 13 BSE Sectoral indices 7 posted gains.
Advancers: 1504, Decliners: 1269, Unchanged: 86
Advance/Decline Ratio: 5:4
Sensex Day’s Range: 17347.85 - 17126.55
Nifty Day’s Range: 5149.65 - 5093.20
52-Week Range: 17350.39 - 7697.39
52-week change: -0.2%
Sensex gainers included DLF +6.3%, State Bank +5.3%, JP Associates +3.4%, Tata Power +3.4%, TCS +2.8% and ICICI Bank +2.4%.
Sensex losers included Sterlite Ind -5.4%, Mahindra & Mahindra -2.3%, Tata Steel -1.4%, ITC -1.4%, ACC -1.3% and Infosys -1.2%.
Realty index gained 3.4% led by DLF +6.3%, Parsvnath +4.7%, Ackruti City +4.2%, HDIL +4.2% and Peninsula Land +3.6%.
Bankex rose 2.3% helped by Karnataka Bank +9.2%, IndusInd Bank +7.4%, Oriental Bank +6.9%, Union Bank +6.5% and State Bank +5.3%.
Oil & Gas index surged 1.2% supported by Cairn India +4.2%, Essar Oil +4%, Reliance Ind +2.1% and Reliance Natural +0.7%.
Other sectoral gainers were: Power +0.9%, PSU +0.6%, Capital Goods +0.5% and Teck +0.04%.
Auto index fell 1.3% led by Bajaj Auto -4.8%, Escorts -4%, Cummins -2.5%, Mahindra & Mahindra -2.3%, Bharat Forge -2% and Apollo Tyres -1.9%.
Metal index tanked 1.1% helped by Sterlite Ind -5.4%, Tata Steel -1.4%, Guj NRE Coke -1.4%, Jindal Steel -1.1% and Jai Corp -0.2%.
Other sectoral losers were: FMCG -0.9%, Consumer Durables -0.7%, IT -0.3% and Healthcare -0.02%.
Volume shockers on BSE;
Unitech 12.89 million shares, Euro Multimedia 8.17 mln shares, Ispat Ind 9.27 mln shares and IFCI 6.62 mln shares
Turnover:
Total traded turnover was at Rs 81,371.53 crore. This included Rs 18,926.55 crore from the NSE cash segment, Rs 56,190.92 crore from the NSE F&O and the balance Rs 6,254.06 crore from the BSE cash segment.

Associated Stone +20% at Rs 72.60, C and C Const +20% at Rs 250, Merck +20% at Rs 589.65, Asian Granito +19.9% at Rs 55.05, MM Forgings +17.8% at Rs 74.50, Sarda Energy +15.3% at Rs 225.30 and Bengal Fabrics +14.8% at Rs 41.90l
Heavy Losers:
Euro Multimedia -19.9% at Rs 42.60, Shree Precoated Steel -11.3% at Rs 24, Magna Electro -8.6% at Rs 47.60, Alufloride -7.5% at Rs 20.95, Infotech Enterprise -7.4% at Rs 235.90 and Novopan -6.7% at Rs 42.70.

European markets were trading at: FTSE: +0.1%, DAX: +0.4%, CAC +0.02%.
Crude:
Crude was quoting at $77.20 a barrel.
Muhurat Trading: (Diwali)
The Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange will conduct the Muhurat Trading for the Samvat Year 2066 on Saturday, October 17. The market will open at 18:15 hours and will close at 19:15 hours.
