India’s FDI Rises 8% In June

(RTTNews) - India’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) rose 8% to $2.58 billion in June over the corresponding month last year, reports PTI, quoting Ajay Shankar, Secretary in Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. The FDI inflow was $2.39 billion in June last year.

However, the total foreign investment inflows during the period of April-June 2009 dropped over 30% to $7.02 billion compared to the $10.07 billion in the year-ago period. The country attracted inflows of $2.1 billion in May.
