U.K. Visible Trade Balance Narrows In May

(RTTNews) - U.K.’s visible trade deficit narrowed to GBP 6.3 billion in May from GBP 7.1 billion in deficit in April, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday. Imports fell 4% and exports declined 0.8%.

The deficit with Non-EU countries narrowed to GBP 3.3 billion from GBP 4.1 billion. Total trade deficit in May was GBP 2.2 billion, down from GBP 3 billion deficit in April.
