IMF Raises India’s Growth Forecast To 5.4% For 2009

(RTTNews) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised India’s growth forecast to 5.4% for this fiscal, reports PTI.

In April, it forecast Indian growth rate at 4.5% for the period. However, now it estimates that the global economy will fall by 1.4% this year. Earlier, projected the world economy to grow by 1.3%.
