China Objects ADB Funding Arunachal Pradesh Irrigation Project
(RTTNews) - External Affairs Minister S M Krishna told the Rajya Sabha that China had objected to the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) funding of an irrigation project in Arunachal Pradesh, claiming that the area involved was its territory, reports PTI.
He said in reply to a question that China did not endorse the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) 2009-12 for India of the ADB claiming that the proposed project involved technical assistance funding for the Flood and River Erosion Management project in Arunachal Pradesh as its territory.
