Decline In India’s Exports Controlled- Commerce Minister

(RTTNews) - Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma says decline in Indian exports due to global economic slowdown is controlled, reports PTI.

He said that the data on June exports showed that the situation was improving with a decline of 29%, as compared to April’s 33.2%.

Indian exports were declining since last October. The fall in demand in the traditional destinations of the UK, the US, Euro-zone, Japan and Singapore hit exports, causing unemployment in labour-intensive sectors.
