U.K. Service Sector Output Continues To Fall In 3-month To April

(RTTNews) - U.K.’s service sector output dropped 1.2% in the three months to April compared with the three months to January, the Office for National Statistics said Wednesday. It follows a revised 1.6% fall in the three months to March.

This is the tenth consecutive three months on previous three months decrease, the ONS said.

Four of the five components of the service sector registered a fall in output.

In April, output from the service sector fell 0.1% month-on-month and dropped 4% annually. In the current period, the most significant decrease was in transport, storage and communication.
