Talking Heads Planting The Idea Of A “Buying Panic” This Summer

Friday, as we saw it, happened to be a full-court press from the Interventionists as one Talking Head after another planted the idea in the audience’s mind’s eye that a “buying panic” would happen this summer, which is to say, hold on during any pull-back because those green shoots are not imaginary. Wow!
Let’s just state the facts; people in many countries, but particularly America, no longer control their destiny, as creditors can call in IOU’s any time they wish. With the ability to print money, governments and bankers already swamped in debts and obligations are reflating as their way to avoid their failure. Interestingly, they say they are doing this for us.
But reflation, i.e., the printing of money, to cover the sins of the past, means issuing more debt. It’s like an alcoholic taking another drink at the end of a long night at an open bar. There is a cost.
As government intrudes further in our lives, individual and corporate freedom has been vanishing. That’s a very bad thing, even if the erosion takes time, and many people don’t see the damage.
Anyway, it’s now the weekend. Enjoy it.
