UK Govt. Net Reserves Rise In December
(RTTNews) - UK government net reserves rose US$1.53 billion bringing the end-December total to US$28.02 billion compared with US$26.48 billion at end-November, a report from HM Treasury showed Tuesday. Gross reserves increased to US$53.9 billion from US$52.43 billion in the previous month.
According to HM Treasury, the Bank of England net holdings of foreign currency and gold rose US$2 million in December to US$6 million.
