Finland’s PPI Inflation Stabilizes at 5.4% in September
(RTTNews) - Friday, a report from Statistics Finland showed the producer price annual inflation for manufacturing products stabilized at 5.4% in September compared with August.
The report said the year-on-year rise in producer prices in September was largely driven by increase in prices of oil products and electricity. However, prices of non-ferrous metals declined.
On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.1% in September, in contrast to a 0.1% decline in August.
On an annual basis, the export price index rose 2%, while the import price index was up 5.7% in September. Month-on-month, export prices increased 0.1% whereas import prices fell 1.5%.
In September, the basic price index for domestic supply rose 6.4% year-on-year, but dropped 0.7% on a monthly basis.
Meanwhile, the wholesale price index rose 6.1% year-on-year, but declined 0.9% month-on-month in September.
