Sweden’s August Retail Sales Increase More Than Expected

(RTTNews) - Retail sales in Sweden rose working day adjusted 2.9% year-on-year in August, compared with a 1.5% rise in July, a report from the Statistics Sweden showed Tuesday. Analysts had expected retail sales to rise 1.7%.

On a monthly basis, retail sales increased seasonally adjusted 0.4%, compared to a 0.5% decline in the previous month, which also was the forecast.

In the June-August period, retail sales grew 1.7% compared with the previous three-month period.
