Slovenian CPI Inflation drops further in September

(RTTNews) - Slovenia’s annual inflation rate stood at 5.5% in September, down from 6% in August, the latest report from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Tuesday. The statistical office said this was the first time this year that annual inflation rate was below 6%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices remained unchanged in September. This was the third time in the year that consumer prices remained unchanged from previous month, the report said.

In the January-September period, average growth of consumer prices was 6.4% compared with the previous year.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices was flat month-on-month in September. The HICP annual inflation fell for the second straight month in August, reaching 5.5% from 6% last month.
