French Industrial Output Rebounds In July

(RTTNews) - French industrial output recorded a monthly growth of 1.2% in July, reversing a revised fall of 0.6% in June, the statistical office INSEE said Wednesday. Economists had expected just 0.3% growth for July.

Meanwhile, manufacturing production climbed 1.5% month-on-month, after declining 1% in June. Manufacturing output also grew more than 0.2% expected by economists.

Industrial output growth was driven by a 5.1% rise in automobile production in July. At the same time, consumer goods output rose 1.3% and intermediate goods production improved 1.1%.
