Italy Hourly Wages Rise Faster in July

(RTTNews) - Monday, the ISTAT announced that the Italian hourly wages increased 4.3% year-over-year in July, after rising 3.6% in June. Economists had expected an increase of 3.7% for July.

On a monthly basis, the hourly wages rose 0.7% in July, compared with a 0.3% recorded in June. The consensus forecast was for a 0.2% rise.

For the first seven months of the year, the hourly wages climbed 3.1% over a year ago.
