India’s IIP Growth Slows down in May
(RTTNews) - Friday, India’s Industrial Production growth for the month of May 2008 eased to 3.8% from 10.6% in the corresponding month of last year, reported the media. The industrial growth for the month of April has been revised downwards to 6.2% from 7%.
The report said that the growth of production of manufacturing goods stood at 3.9% in May 2008 compared to 11.3% in May 2007. The growth of production of electricity slipped to 2% in the month from 9% in the corresponding month of previous year. Growth in mining industries rose to 5.2% in May 2008 from 3.8% in May 2007.
