Amended: Greek Import Price Index Grows In May
(RTTNews) - Replaces ‘April’ with ‘the previous year’ in the first and last paragraphs.
Friday, the General Secretariat of the National Statistical Service of Greece announced that the import price index rose 10.5% year-over-year in May, significantly higher than the 1.3% increase in the previous year.
Compared to the previous year, prices of intermediate goods grew 2.7% and that of non-durable goods was up 3.9%. Meanwhile, prices of durable consumer goods rose 1.8%.
On a monthly basis, the index increased 2.5% in May compared with 0.6% rise in the previous year.
