German Producer Price Inflation Accelerates In May
(RTTNews) - German producer prices for industrial products rose 6% in May from the prior year, the Federal Statistical Office announced Friday. The same annual growth was last reported in July 2006, the statistical office said. Producer prices rose faster than April’s 5.2% and 5.8% expected by economists.
On a monthly basis, producer prices were up 1%, slightly down from 1.1% reported in April. Economists were expecting a monthly growth of 0.9%.
