- Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) announced a new version if its Atom chip. Nokia (NYSE:NOK) and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) launched their first software collaboration
- Goldman Sach’s (NYSE:GS) credit rating outlook was cut to “negative” from “stable” by Fitch ratings yesterday on legal actions and regulatory impediments to profit-making
- The US Treasury cut its weekly auction total for the first time since May, 2007, with a $78 billion auction calendar set for next week
- Cigna (NYSE:CI) reported better-than-expected first quarter earnings of $1.10, 11 cents higher than Zacks estimates, on a 8.3% revenue gain to $5.2 billion, which topped Zacks projections of $4.7 billion. Full-year guidance of $3.75-$4.15 was provided
- CBS (NYSE:CBS) reported inline first quarter earnings of a nickel, as revenues of $3.53 billion posting ahead of Zacks estimates of $3.43 billion
- Sara Lee (NYSE:SLE) reported better-than-expected fiscal third quarter earnings of 29 cents, beating Zacks estimates of 21 cents, on revenues which missed projections, coming in at $2.578 billion versus Zacks estimates of $2.75 billion. The company said it sees full-year earnings of $1.06 to $1.10 a share
