Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) has filed to de-register Fabrice Tourre, the firm’s employee at the center of the Goldman Sachs Abacus fraud charges, with UK authorities. This strips him of his ability to work with clients.

This does beg the question, if Goldman is claiming complete innocence in the matter, why take this step?

While the firm filed to pull his license, Fabrice is still an employee of Goldman, although he is now on a leave of absence.
