Cyprus June Tourism Revenue Grows
(RTTNews) – The Cyprus tourism revenue increased in June from the previous year.
The revenue from tourism increased 11.4% year-on-year in June, faster than a 4.2% growth in the previous month, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus said on Wednesday. The tourism revenue amounted to EUR 195.3 million, up from EUR 175.4 million last year.
For the January to June period, the tourism revenue increased 2.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. The tourism revenue totaled EUR 578.3 million.
Meanwhile, the tourist arrivals increased 5.5% on an annual basis in June, faster than a 4.7% growth in the previous month. For the first half of the year, tourist arrivals decreased 0.6% over a year ago.
