Spanish Overnight Stays Fall In October

(RTTNews) - Tourist overnight stays in Spain fell 1.7% year-on-year to 22 million in October, the Madrid based National Statistics Institute reported on Monday. Domestic overnight stays were up 4.3%, while foreign overnight stays dropped 5.4%.

The Balearic Islands is the top destination for overnight stays by non-residents in Spain, while Andalusia, Valencia and Catalonia were the top destinations for overnight stays by domestic residents, the statistical office said.

In the January to October period, total overnight stays in Spain dropped 7.1% from a year ago.
