Swedish Market Participants Say Financial Crisis Has Peaked: Riksbank Survey
(RTTNews) - Market participants in Sweden largely agreed that the financial crisis has peaked, the latest risk survey by the Riksbank said Friday. Moreover, a majority believed the financial market was not yet functioning normally.
However, survey respondents also believed the Swedish fixed-income market and the foreign exchange market have functioned much better over the past six months. Market participants pointed out that the improved market conditions were due to support measures implemented by central banks and other authorities.
Meanwhile, a large proportion of the respondents said their propensity to take risks had increased over the past six months. The participants also pointed out that the developments in the Baltic region would pose the largest risk for the financial market over the next six months.
