Lithuania Sept. Trade Deficit Narrows

(RTTNews) - Lithuania’s trade deficit stood at LTL 371.9 million in September, narrowing from LTL 551.4 million deficit in the previous month, the Statistics Lithuania said on Monday. The trade deficit in August was revised from LTL531.4 million reported initially.

Exports increased 8.7% month-on-month to LTL 3.6 billion in September and imports rose 2.9% to LTL 4.02 billion.

For the January to September period, exports and imports decreased by 32% and 42.3%, respectively over a year ago. During the period, the trade deficit amounted to LTL 3.74 billion.
