Latvia Consumer Prices Decline For First Time Since 1991

(RTTNews) - Monday, the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia announced that the consumer price index or CPI dropped 0.9% year-on-year in October, in contrast to a 0.5% increase in the previous month.

The annual consumer prices declined for the first time since 1991,when regular CPI compilation was launched, the statistical office said.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2% in September, unchanged from the previous month.
