Hungary Trade Surplus Widens In September

(RTTNews) - Friday, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office announced that the trade surplus stood at EUR 486 million in September, up from EUR 95.1 million surplus a year ago.

Exports dropped 18% year-on-year to EUR 5.6 billion in September, while imports fell 24% to EUR 5.13 billion.

For the January to September period, the trade surplus stood at EUR 3.32 billion, up from EUR 171.6 millio0n deficit a year ago. During the period, exports and imports decreased by 23% and 29%, respectively.
