German Oct. Raw Steel Production Declines At Slower Pace

(RTTNews) - Friday, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office announced that raw steel production in metallurgical plants dropped 11% year-on-year in October, markedly slower than the 21.5% fall in the previous month. Raw steel output totaled 3.45 million tonnes in October, larger than the 3.18 million tonnes produced in the previous month.

Meanwhile, pig iron production fell 16.8% to 2.14 million tonnes in October, slower than the 27% drop in September.
