Slovakia Retail Sales Decline In September

(RTTNews) - Wednesday,the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic announced that the retail sales decreased 9.2% year-on-year in September, compared to the 9.6% fall in the previous month.

In September, retail sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles dropped 19.2% on an annual basis, while the motor vehicle sales were down 24.3%. At the same time, the volume of wholesale sales dipped 26.3%.

On a monthly basis, retail sales increased 1.5% in September, while wholesales sales rose 4.8%.

For the first nine months of the year, retail sales decreased 10.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
