Japan Oct Monetary Base +4.4% On Year

(RTTNews) - The monetary base in Japan was up 4.4 percent on year in October, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday, coming in at 92.86 trillion yen. That follows the 4.5 percent annual increase in September.

Banknotes in circulation were flat on year, while coins in circulation eased 0.2 percent. The current account balance jumped 43.8 percent on year, including a 41.4 percent annual surge in reserve balances.

Seasonally adjusted, the monetary base was up 1.0 percent to 93.27 trillion yen.
