German Jan.-July Overnight Stays Decline

(RTTNews) - Friday, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office announced that the number of overnight stays in accommodation establishments decreased 6% year-on-year to 30.5 million in the January to July period.

The number of overnight stays from the Netherlands totaled 5.6 million in the first seven months of the year, which was the18.2% of all overnight stays made by foreign tourists. During the period, the number of overnight stays from United States totaled 2.5 million, which was the 8.0% of all overnight stays by foreign visitors.

The number of overnight stays by guests from Switzerland rose by 4.8% to 2.2 million in the January to July period.
