German Labor Costs Increase In Q2

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office announced that the labor costs per hour increased 5.2% year-on-year in the second quarter, compared to the 5.7% growth in the previous quarter. A year earlier, labor costs were up 2.2%.

Sequentially, total labor costs increased 0.3% in the second quarter, compared to the 1.6% growth in the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, the gross wages and salaries increased 4.4% on an annual basis in the second quarter, and it was up 0.1% compared to the preceding quarter.
