Hungary Retail Sales Fall Slows In June

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, a report by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said retail sales dropped a working day adjusted 2.2% in June from a year earlier, after falling 4.2% in the preceding month. Economists expected a 4.3% drop.

Compared to the previous month, retail sales rose a seasonal and working day adjusted 0.5%, following a 0.4% decline in May.

In the first half of the year, retail sales slipped 3.2% compared to the same period the previous year.
