Macau Tourist Arrivals Fall In July

(RTTNews) - Tourist arrivals into Macau fell 14.9% in July from a year earlier to 1.75 million, the Statistics and Census Service said Monday.

Region-wise, arrivals from China, accounting for nearly 49% of total arrivals, fell 19.2%. Further, visitor arrivals from Hong Kong slipped 12.7%, from Japan by 0.8%, from Korea by 10.6%, and from Thailand and Malaysia, 23.2% and 29.4% respectively.

In the first seven months of the year, visitor arrivals fell 11.9% from last year to 12.1 million.
