Slovenia Consumer Confidence Indicator Drops For Second Straight Month

(RTTNews) - Friday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the consumer confidence indicator declined 1 percentage point in August compared to the previous month. This was the second consecutive month of decline in consumer confidence. In July, the confidence indicator was down 3 percentage points.

The decrease was mainly due to more pessimistic estimations of consumers about how likely they will save money over the next 12 months, the statistical office said.

On an annual basis, the consumer confidence indicator declined 7 percentage points in August.

In August, the consumers expect the lowest growth of prices over the next 12 months ever.
