Thai Exports Fall 25.7% In July

(RTTNews) - Thailand’s exports in July declined at a slower annual pace compared to June, official figures showed Wednesday.

Shipments dropped 25.7% year-on-year to $12.9 billion in July, Commerce Ministry Permanent Secretary Siripol Yodmuangcharoen said. In June, exports were down 25.9%.

Imports plunged 32.5% to $12.20 billion in July after a 29.3% fall in June. The trade surplus narrowed to $706 million from $936.6 million recorded in June.

Total exports in the first seven months were down 23.9% to $81.11 billion and imports fell 34.9% to $69.42 billion, which resulted in a trade surplus of $11.69 billion.
