Poland July Industrial Output Drops Further

(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Poland’s Central Statistical Office announced that the industrial production dropped 4.6% year-on-year in July, compared with a 4.5% fall in the previous month, revised from 4.3% decline reported initially. Economists were looking for a decline of 3%.

On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased 2.8% in July, in contrast to the 6% increase in June, revised from 6.2% estimated previously.

For the January to July period, industrial production dipped 7.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the construction output increased 10.7% annually in July, and it was up 5.5% compared to the previous month. For the first seven months of the year, construction output grew 3.6% over a year ago.
