Pakistan’s July Current Account Deficit Narrows From Last Year

(RTTNews) - Pakistan’s current account deficit narrowed to $606 million in July from $1.18 billion deficit recorded in the last year, the State Bank of Pakistan said Wednesday.

The central bank said a fall in imports and increasing overseas remittances led to a contraction in the current account deficit in July.

Pakistan logged a current account deficit of $8.86 billion in the last fiscal year.
