Israel Records Trade Surplus In First Seven Months

(RTTNews) - Israel recorded a trade surplus of US$193 million in the January to July period, in contrast to a deficit of US$1.3 billion in the same period last year, a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday.

Total exports in the first seven months decreased to US$25.7 billion from US$38.7 billion last year, while imports declined to US$25.5 billion from US$40.1 billion.

In July, import of goods amounted to US$4.2 billion and exports of goods totaled US$4.0 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of US$0.2 billion.
