(RTTNews) - Country stars Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser are set to headline the upcoming “CMT on Tour ‘09: Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser” tour.

The tour will begin on October 8 in Brooklyn, New York. It will cover 30 cities and includes stops at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, New York, House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada and Club Nokia at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

“This tour is about 50 combined years in the making,” Houser told CMT. “I’ve been playing on the road since I was 15. Jamey and I both have been picking these guitars as long as we’ve been able to hold ‘em. This is a chance to show the rest of the world how far we’ve come.”

Additionally, it was announced that Jamey Johnson will also be joining the line-up for Farm Aid 2009, set to take place October 4 in the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri.

Other acts to be featured at Farm Aid include Wilco, Phosphorescent, Jason Mraz, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Jamey Johnson released his first album, “The Dollar”, in 2006. However, it was his second album, “That Lonesome Song”, which made an impact on the country music scene, being certified gold and producing the hit singles “In Color” and “The High Cost of Living”.

Randy Houser, meanwhile, had his 2008 song “Anything Goes” from his “Anything Goes” debut album chart in the Top 20 of Billboard’s country music singles charts.
