South Korea Posts $5.43 Billion Current Account Surplus
(RTTNews) - South Korea registered a current account surplus of $5.43 billion in June, the Bank of Korea said on Wednesday. That was sharply higher than the $3.50 billion surplus in May, with the increase coming largely from a greatly widened surplus on the goods account, the bank said.
The capital and financial account in June shifted from the previous month’s net inflow of $7.02 billion to a net outflow of $400 million dollars. Reserve assets in June increased by $3.85 billion.
Seasonally adjusted, the current account surplus came in at $4.67 billion.
