Greece May Industrial Output Falls 7.2% From Year Ago

(RTTNews) - Friday, the National Statistical Service of Greece reported that the industrial production index dropped 7.2% year-on-year in May, larger than the 6.4% slump seen in the same month last year.

Production declined 7.3% in manufacturing, 10.5% in mining and quarrying, 7.2% in electricity generation and 0.5% in water supply.

Month-on-month, industrial production rose 4% in May.

During the five-month period from January to May, industrial production slid 8.7% from the year-ago period.
