Slovak Inflation Rises In June
(RTTNews) - Slovakia’s consumer price annual inflation rose to 2.4% in June from 2.2% in May, the statistical office said Friday.
Inflation rose mainly due to an acceleration in prices for utility items, transport and education. Core inflation was 1.3% in June, up from 1.1% in May and net inflation stood at 2.4%.
On a monthly basis, total consumer prices rose 0.5% in June, faster than 0.2% increase in May.
Separately, the statistical office said consumer prices rose 0.1% in the second quarter compared with the first quarter.
