Danish June Consumer Price Inflation Slows Further

(RTTNews) - Friday, the Statistics Denmark said the consumer price index rose 1.2% year-on-year in June, slowing from a 1.3% increase in the preceding month. Economists expected a rise of 1%.

Compared to the previous month, consumer prices were up 0.3%, at the same pace as in May, but faster than the 0.1% increase anticipated by economists.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 0.9% annually in June, slower than a 1.1% rise in the preceding month. This came in line with economists’ expectations.

On a monthly basis, the HICP rose 0.2% in June compared to a 0.4% rise in the preceding month, and matched economists’ expectations.

In June, the net price index grew 2% annually and was up 0.2% compared to May.
