Sweden Consumer Prices Decline Further In June

(RTTNews) - Thursday, the Statistics Sweden said in a report that the consumer price index or CPI dropped 0.6% year-over-year in June, compared with a 0.4% fall in the previous month. Economists were looking for a decline of 0.7%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.2% in June, faster than the 0.1% growth in the preceding month. The inflation came in line with economists’ expectations.

The CPIX increased 1.2% annually in June and it was up 0.2% compared to the previous month. The monthly and annual inflation came in line with economists’ expectations.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 1.6% on an annual basis in June, and the HICP was up 0.2% compared to the prior month.
