Norway May Manufacturing Turnover Falls

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, the Statistics Norway announced that the manufacturing turnover decreased 12.5% year-over-year in May, after falling 16.4% in April.

On a monthly basis, manufacturing turnover fell a seasonally adjusted 0.6% in May.

During the March to May period, manufacturing turnover declined 3.5% compared to the previous three month period.

The overall turnover in industry dropped 20.8% year-on-year in May, compared with a 22.4% fall in the previous month. For the January to May period, industrial turnover declined 12.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, manufacturing, mining and quarrying turnover decreased 12.3% annually in May, after falling 16.3% in April. For the first five months of the year, manufacturing turnover dipped 6.5% over a year ago.
