Australian Inflation Gauge Up 0.4% On Month In June

(RTTNews) - A gauge measuring inflation in Australia was up 0.4 percent in June compared to the previous month, according to Monday’s monthly report from TD Securities and the Melbourne Institute. That follows a 0.3 percent monthly decline in May.

On an annual basis, inflation was up 1.4 percent after adding 1.5 percent in the previous month.

The report replicates the methodology used by the Australian Bureau of Statistics to calculate quarterly CPI while corresponding closely with official government numbers.
