Cyprus June Consumer Price Inflation Slows
(RTTNews) - Thursday, the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 0.2% year-over-year in June, slower than the 0.6% increase in the previous month.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices grew 6.9% annually in June, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 3.8%. Transport charges were down 10.2%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.14% in June, following a 0.74% increase in the preceding month.
For the January to June period, the CPI increased 0.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
