Austria Records Trade Deficit In April

(RTTNews) - Friday, a report by Statistics Austria said the trade deficit stood at EUR651.7 million in April, in contrast to a surplus of EUR137 million last year.

Exports dropped 27.9% annually to EUR 7.79 billion, while imports slipped 20.9% to EUR8.45 billion.

In the first four months of the year, the trade deficit was EUR1.63 billion, reversing from a surplus of EUR337.7 million last year. Exports fell 24.6% annually, while imports were down 19.9%.
