Denmark Jobless Rate Continues To Rise In May
(RTTNews) - Thursday, the Statistics Denmark said in a report that the jobless rate increased to a seasonally adjusted 3.5% in May from 3.3% in April. The jobless rate came in line with economists’ expectations.
On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate was 3.2% in May, compared to the 1.5% in a year ago.
In May, there were 97,000 unemployed persons, up from 92,800 in the preceding month.
The jobless for men stood at 4.1% in May, up from 3.8% in April, while the rate remained unchanged at 2.8% for women.
